Jonathan M. Redgrave
Since the founding of Redgrave Daley Ragan & Wagner LLP (“RDRW”) in October of 2005, Jonathan has regularly addressed issues involved in the discovery of electronically stored information, as well as issues concerning records retention and privacy policies and practices for clients.
Jonathan is a moving force behind, and currently Chair Emeritus of, the highly successful Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production (WG1). He has authored or co-authored numerous publications and speaks frequently at national and international seminars on issues related to electronic information, records management and litigation.
Jonathan’s work at RDRW includes:
National and coordinating counsel roles for clients
in negotiating
discovery and litigation strategies related to electronic discovery
Preparing and taking/defending depositions of corporate representatives
regarding electronic discovery and records management issues
Working with clients to develop sound records and information management
policies and practices regarding paper and electronic data, including emerging
technologies such as web-based collaboration tools and instant messaging
Helping clients assess the retention and disposal of legacy data
Assisting clients with the assessment of process and technology solutions
for records and information management as well as electronic discovery
Leading projects for corporations to address privacy policies and practices
Records and Information Management (“RIM”) consulting, including
the development of records management policies and records retention schedules
Prior to joining RDRW, Jonathan was a partner with Jones Day in its Washington, DC office. Notably, Jonathan served (March 2001–October 2005) as the designated Liaison Counsel for the tobacco industry defendants in the case of United States, et al. v. Philip Morris USA Inc., et al., during pre-trial and trial phases.
